Small Business of the Year Award Nominations Now Open

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Greater Fort Wayne (GFW) Inc., is seeking nominations for its second annual Small Business of the Year Award, to be presented at its 2017 Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 25 from 5 to 7:30 pm. The deadline for small businesses to nominate their organization has been extended until noon on Friday, April 28.

The Small Business of the Year Award will honor a small business’s contributions to Fort Wayne’s economic growth. The business must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:

  • Be a GFW Inc., investor in good standing
  • Be located in Fort Wayne or Allen County
  • Have been in business for more than 5 years
  • Have 50 or fewer full-time employees
  • Have revenue up to $5 million in 2016
  • Be an independently-owned and -operated, for-profit entity

Small businesses may submit their nominations online at http://smallbiz.gfwinc.com.

The 2017 GFW Inc., Annual Meeting will take place at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. In addition to the Small Business of the Year Award, winners of the Chairman’s Award, the Swagger Award, and the Legislator of the Year Award will be announced. The 2017 GFW Fellows class will be introduced, and the 2017 Leadership Fort Wayne class will receive their completion certificates.
