FORT WAYNE, Ind. – A new facility will provide an ideal setting for Associated Churches’ unique, specialized care programs. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for The Wolf Mission House, a vibrant space infused with the arts, gardens, educational opportunities, and more, is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 1 at 624 E. Wayne St. in Fort Wayne.
The Wolf Mission House will bring several programs together into one safe space, with the intention of strengthening each individual’s spiritual and well-being journey. Groups and individuals can participate in a diverse array of programs ranging from perinatal mental health wellness to retreats for grieving adults to a respite for teens in emergency housing. Each offering is guided by a core focus on spirituality, hospitality, creativity, and nutrition.
“The Wolf Mission House will provide a unique opportunity to engage our community in purposeful gathering,” said Rev. Roger Reece, executive pastor at Associated Churches. “It will be a place where life-giving, faith-filled conversations take place. This is where guests leave feeling known and encouraged to explore God’s richness.”
The house is a key part of Associated Churches’ plan to serve the community’s ever-changing needs. With the support of Paul and Carolyn Wolf and a host of other donors, the facility on East Wayne Street was procured and rebuilt for the specific needs of Associated Churches’ current programs and future partner programs.
“From the early days of Fort Wayne’s founding, faith fostered the habits of the heart,” Reece said. “As we look to the future, Associated Churches will continue to build faith-filled bridges to provide for the needs of our community in adaptive and agile ways. The future looks bright as we foster those relationships to build a collective impact in the heart of our community.”
The grand opening is open to the public. Coffee and other light refreshments will be available, and attendees will be invited to tour the facility. Guests planning to attend are asked to RSVP online.
