FORT WAYNE, Ind. – A brand-new neighborhood is set to open in northwest Fort Wayne. Dupont Meadows will be introduced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19 at 2131 Sweet Breeze Way.
Developed by Next Chapter Neighborhoods, a leader in purpose-built, single-family-for-rent neighborhoods, and professionally managed by GoldOller Real Estate Investments, Dupont Meadows features 250 one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes, along with luxurious amenities like an outdoor kitchen, resort-style pool, fully equipped fitness center, pickleball courts, a bark park, and walking trails.
Homes in Dupont Meadows feature vaulted ceilings, granite countertops, vinyl plank flooring, and a garage. And, the homes are part of a real neighborhood, with sidewalks, lamppost-lined streets, and front porches that foster a sense of community and connection.
The first Next Chapter neighborhood was built in North Augusta, S.C., in 2015. The company also has a development in the suburbs of Savannah, Ga.
“When we started, single-family-for-rent was a very new concept,” said Shane Malek, executive VP at Next Chapter Neighborhoods. “In fact, we were one of the first in the nation to actually do it. Housing studies were showing that a record number of Americans were choosing to rent but didn’t relish the thought of living in a stacked apartment with someone above or below them. The success of our neighborhoods, and the fact that more and more build-to-rent projects are coming to market, has proven it was a good idea.
“These projects are more common in the Southeastern U.S., but there are not as many in the Midwest,” Malek added. “Fort Wayne offers a stable economy and high quality of life. We are investing $57 million at Dupont Meadows, which tells you how bullish we are on Fort Wayne. We are really glad to be here.”
More than 150 local skilled laborers and suppliers worked on the construction of Dupont Meadows.
Members of the public are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Throughout the day on July 19, guests can also enjoy refreshments, take tours of the homes available at Dupont Meadows, learn about leasing opportunities, and enter to win raffle prizes.
