That’s why Greater Fort Wayne Inc. today launched its SHOP SMALLidays promotion for 2021, encouraging shoppers to “look local first” as they search for holiday gifts. So far, 42 companies have listed deals and discounts at shopsmall.gfwinc.com.

They work hard to give Allen County its own unique flavor,” said Aaryn Eady, director of investor engagement at Greater Fort Wayne Inc. “We hope people make it a habit to shop local and support small businesses—throughout the holiday season and year-round. According to a 2018 study commissioned by American Express, for every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stays in the local community.
