Deister Machine Company, Inc. is investing in new equipment and employees. The company will purchase two new large CNC lathes and a 750-ton x 24′ long press brake, the largest of its kind in Indiana, according to Deister’s spokesperson. Deister Machine Company will hire 110 new employees by 2018, adding to its existing workforce of 181 employees.

Valbruna Slater Stainless, Inc. has announced it will reinvest in Fort Wayne once again. The company will invest $30.5 million in a new facility and new machinery. Valbruna will also add 45 new jobs over the next three years.

Dirig Sheet Metal is considered an industry leader in specialty sheet metal, with more than 80 skilled employees boasting an average of more than 25 years of experience in the trade. The company is focused in specialty, commercial, and industrial industries. Dirig will be moving into the former Olde York Potato Chips Factory, located off of Cook Road.

VOSS Automotive, Inc. (VOSS) announced in October 2012 they would be building a new state-of-the-art North American Headquarters in Fort Wayne. The 14 month construction project included the purchase of 9.5 acres of land at 4640 Hillegas Road, on which VOSS built its new 48,746 square-foot facility. Visible from I-69 near exit 309, the building includes 33,579 square feet of office space, prototype and test lab and 15,167 square feet warehouse.

Greater Fort Wayne Inc., the organization that serves as the primary-point-of-contact for economic
growth in greater Fort Wayne, has appointed Kirk Moriarty as Director of Business Development with a
focus on downtown. Moriarty comes to this position with nearly 25 years of retail experience.

The Allen County Redevelopment Commission announced today that NorthPoint Development has purchased four parcels in Stonebridge Business Park. The 40 acres of land in this transaction is near the intersection of Fogwell Parkway and Lafayette Center Road. NorthPoint Development will have the option to purchase the remaining 84 acres of available property in Stonebridge Business Park.

In 2010, Allen County officials set aside funds for land banking after recognizing that the community was lacking 
large tracts of development‐ready land. In 2010, the Allen County  Redevelopment Commission purchased 
land that was formerly called Silverado Industrial Park, off of I‐69 near General Motors and Vera Bradley.  

Greater Fort Wayne Inc. held its “Greater Golf Open” Thursday, August 7, at Autumn Ridge Golf Club. This event provided opportunities for over 100 GFW members/investors to build relationships while having fun on the course.

Shared Services Center Fort Wayne, an affiliate of Lutheran Health Network that serves the business office needs of hospitals, will add more than 300 jobs over the next two to three years to its existing workforce of over 175 employees.

North American Cold Storage is breaking ground for its new location, 23202 Roemer Drive, Woodburn, IN. The 96,000 square foot facility will be the tallest cold storage facility in the area, allowing for more efficiencies in managing large numbers of stock keeping units (SKU) with a more accurate and timely deployment.
