Chad Kline
Director of Economic Development
Chad Kline joined GFW, Inc in April 2024, focusing on expanding business connections through the On-Site program, personally visiting businesses to identify challenges and opportunities for increased investment.
A 2016 graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Business Administration. He was honored as the “Online Student of the Year” in 2015 and actively engaged in the Council for Alumni and Student Engagement. Chad has been an active mentor of students within the Miller College of Business to provide insights and resources to assist future business students in their success.
Residing in Markle, Chad is deeply invested in his community. He serves as an elected member of the Norwell Community Schools Board of Trustees, where he works to ensure the success and well-being of students and educators alike. Chad has received recognition by the Indiana School Board Association with Exemplary Governance Awards for demonstrating outstanding commitment to professional learning and student success.
Prior to his role at GFW, Inc Chad was Executive Director of Wells County Economic Development, where he spearheaded initiatives to attract investment and create jobs. Chad has also served as an elected County Commissioner for Noble County, prior to his role in Wells County.
Chad, a DeKalb County native, is married and has previously hosted several exchange students from all over the globe. They continue to have strong ties to their previous students. He enjoys traveling across the country, being a member of the MASH Home Brew Club in Fort Wayne, and a hobby in photography.
